Yangon – Dala Full Day Tour
Day 1
Drive to the jetty. Take the local ferry across the Yangon-River to Dalla (15 min.). Upon arrival on the other side, Trishaw drivers are awaiting you to drive you over dusty and bumpy roads, these are very poor homes, in desperate need for support. Enjoy the scenery on the way back. This is real local rural life, not to compare with the busy streets of very near Yangon. Come back to Yangon by local ferry. Visit Bothataung Pagoda. Lunch at Local Restaurant. in the afternoon, visit Sule Pagoda which is in downtown area laid out in a grid pattern in its central reference point. Lead by our knowledgeable guides you will explore the lively streets with uncountable street vendors and teashops on the sidewalks as well as the colonial buildings constructed in the early years of the 20th century. Take a 30 to 45 minutes ride on the circular train. Opened in 1961, the train carries an estimated 15,000 to 20,000 people a day, starting and ending at the Central Station in downtown Yangon. The circle train will throw you into life the way the locals live it, and it’s a great way to participate without being obtrusive.
