  1. Deposit & Final payment

A deposit which is equal to 30 % of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking for group tours, tailor-made tours and hotel reservation. The full or final payment is required when receive the Confirmation Service Voucher from our office in Yangon.

Receipt of your deposit or final payment will indicate that you and your travel agent (when applicable) have read these Terms and Conditions, and that you (and your agent) have accepted them.

The Terms and Conditions below form the basis of the contractual relationship between Thuta Travel Co Ltd. and its clients. It is extremely important that our clients understand and accept these Terms and Conditions as well as their quotations, itineraries and other relevant communication from our travel advisors.

  1. Methods of Payment

Full settlement should be received no later than 14 working days prior to passenger’s arrival. We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard (4 % of the amount will be charge for bank fee).

Our bank handles our payment collection and all of your card information is processed through SSL protocol with international security standard by our bank. Your card information will not be stored at our system.

  1. Cancellation

All cancellations must be received in writing and sent to us via fax or e-mail. The following rules apply for cancellations:

* More than 21 days prior to departure: The total deposit paid to us (30% of tour value) will act as your cancellation fee to cover hotel charges and organization fees.

* 14 ~ 21 days prior to departure: 50% on total value of the Tour Cost charged, due to hotel charges for no-shows and organizing fees.

*Within 1-14 days prior to departure: 100% on total charged.

* No-Show: 100% on total charge.

  1. Travel Documentation

All clients must be in possession of a valid passport and necessary visas or permits at the commencement of travel. All such documentation is the sole responsibility of the client. Your travel advisor may assist you in applying for the necessary travel documentation upon request. Thuta Travel Co Ltd. accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the failure of clients to obtain appropriate documentation.

  1. Health Requirements

Clients should take into account all international travel risks and familiarize themselves with health requirements applicable to the areas they intend to visit. The client is solely responsible for checking the safety and security conditions, vaccination, and other health requirements of governments in countries visited or transited.

  1. Luggage Allowance in domestic airlines of Myanmar.

In accordance with regulations of the General Administration of Civil Aviation of Myanmar, the free baggage allowance within Myanmar is 20kg for the economy class, 30kg for the business class, and 40kg for the first class, plus limited carry-on luggage. Excess baggage charges are the sole responsibility of the client.

Note: the above language allowance not applied with budget Airlines.

  1. Insurances

We highly recommend that you purchase full coverage travel insurance from you country of origin.

  1. Complaints and Claims

Should you feel unsatisfied with any service Thuta Travel Co Ltd. has provided, please notify your local tour guide or your travel advisor to avoid the potential for similar problems happening again during your trip.   1. Communications

You can contact Image Of Thuta Travel Co Ltd. via the web form www.thutatravel.com, email or phone. If for any reason, you fail to receive any reply from Thuta Travel Co Ltd. in regard of your tour status within 48 hours from the time you submitted the request for booking, modifying, or canceling a tour, please contact Thuta Travel Co Ltd customer service center at thutatravel@gmail.com or phone at +95 9420014264 immediately to ensure that we are able to deal with your enquiry under the terms of our Terms and Conditions.

  1. Liability & Responsibility

Thuta Travel Co Ltd. provides tour information and Myanmar tour bookings. Thuta Travel Co Ltd. publishes travel information and services gathered from the selected quality hotels, air ticket agencies and tour companies & operators. Thuta Travel Co Ltd will not be responsible for errors, emissions or inaccuracies in information provided by third party providers.

Thuta Travel Co Ltd. shall not be responsible for any wrongful or negligent or fraudulent, omissions, changes of itinerary, cancellation or the failure of any equipment operated by those suppliers or any other party not directly owned or controlled by Thuta Travel Co Ltd.

Thuta Travel Co Ltd shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage to person or property, alteration of itineraries or cancellation in part or in full, caused by climatic conditions, sea fire, breakdown of machinery or equipment, acts of government or other authorities, wars whether or not declared, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, terrorist activities, or any other actions, omissions or conditions beyond Thuta Travel Co Ltd.’s control. Neither Thuta Travel Co Ltd nor any of its affiliates or subsidiaries shall be or become liable or responsible for any additional expenses of liability sustained or incurred by the tour member as a result of any of the aforementioned causes.

Thuta Travel Co Ltd are not responsible for a client’s failure to comply with customs regulations.

Thuta Travel Co Ltd is not responsible for the theft or loss of any customer’s valuables or items of personal property due to the negligence of the customer.

Thuta Travel Co Ltd reserves the right to substitute hotels, flights, or cruise ships, cars and guides depend on the situation.

Many of Thuta Travel Co Ltd tour packages include activities which require care and attention. Such activities include boarding and going ashore from boats, climbing hills and entering and exiting tombs and caves etc. You will receive help and advice from our representatives but all activities are undertaken at your own risk. Thuta Travel Co Ltd, its employees and agents cannot be responsible for any action or event that occurs after its said employees and agents have exercised their duty and taken the necessary care.

Thuta Travel Co Ltd reserves the right to modify or rescind the terms and conditions in whole, or in part at any time with or without notice.

  1. Modification or Discontinuance of Service

Thuta Travel Co Ltd reserves the right to modify or discontinue service to clients who behave illegally or objectionably toward its employees and agents. Offensive behavior includes behavior which is obscene, racially offensive or of a sexual nature.

Is a deposit required?

Our walking tours, airport transfer and other short-day tours requires full payment upon purchasing online. A part from that a small deposit which is equal to 30% of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking. Our friendly service staff will be able to assist you to complete the booking.

The full or final payment of 70% is required when receive the Confirmation Service Voucher from our office in Yangon. Receipt of your deposit or final payment will indicate that you and your travel agent (when applicable) have read the terms and conditions, and that you (and your agent) have accepted them. The terms and conditions stipulated will form the basis of the contractual relationship between Thuta Travel Co Ltd. and its clients. It is extremely important that our clients understand and accept these Terms and Conditions as well as their quotations, itineraries and other relevant communication from our travel advisors.

For Day Tours, we will collect full payment in advance.

Apart from Day Tours, after all necessary bookings are booked and confirmed, we will request 30 % of total tour cost. You would receive invoice within one week of confirmation for 30% Deposit. Balance 70% would be made on your arrival in cash or any means of payment available you choose.

Casual lightweight clothing is suitable and bring along warm clothes if you are traveling to the mountainous regions. Dress modestly and don’t wear shorts or tank tops when visiting religious places, such as temples and pagodas it’s customary to remove shoes before entering a private home and religious places. Slipper is highly recommended while you are taking the culture tour.

A valid passport with at least six months remaining validity and a visa is required to visit Myanmar.

All travelers to Myanmar require a visa. There are two ways to obtain a Myanmar Visa.

Apply for a tourist visa at any Myanmar Embassy or Consulate. Tourist visas are issued for a duration of 28 days at all Myanmar Embassies or Consulates. Please check the below for the location.

As we prepare to pack our bags for our exciting holidays, sometimes the unexpected leaves you with personal problems relating to health and well-being, it can tear up your perfect itinerary. Myanmar has three main seasons, namely hot season, rainy season and cold season. November to February is generally dry and cooler. It is noted to be the best time to travel as it is favored by tourist. The hot season starts in March through May, the temperature increases and can occasionally reach 40 degrees Celsius until the rainy season begins in May, which lasts until the end of October. The best time to visit the beach is from October to March with steady temperatures in the low 30s Celsius accompanied by plenty of sunshine. The mountainous region and hinterland may experience cool to freezing temperature especially in the winter months, so prepare accordingly.

Kyat is the local currency. Bring enough cash in US$, EURO, S$ and nowadays, ATMs are available at all major cities and airport. Credit cards are not widely accepted and US$ is the currency of choice and only bring new series bills as it fetches higher exchange value.

Population: 60 million.

Religion: 85% of the country’s population is Theravada Buddhists, followed by Muslims, Christians, and Animists among others.

Safety: Myanmar is generally a safe country to visit, but it is advisable that you never leave your belongings unattended in public.

Electricity: 220V. We recommend bringing a universal plug adaptor.

Visas: All visitors need a visa to enter Myanmar. We do recommend applying for visas in your resident country before traveling, which usually takes about 3 to 5 working days to process.

Mobile Phones: presently roaming is available. Local SIM cards are available and an inexpensive way to make local and international calls, and mobile phones can be rented on arrival at Yangon Airport & Mandalay Airport.

Burmese cuisine is unique but some are a bit oily, owing to the geographic location of Myanmar, Burmese cuisine has been influenced by China, India and Thailand. The diversity of Myanmar’s cuisine has also been contributed to by the myriad of local ethnic minorities. Burmese cuisine is characterized by extensive use of fish products like fish sauce and ngapi (fermented seafood). Burmese cuisine also includes a variety of salads, centered on one major ingredient, ranging from starches like rice, wheat and rice noodles, glass noodles and vermicelli, to potato, ginger, tomato, kaffir lime, lahpet (pickled tea leaves), and ngapi (fish paste). These salads have always been popular as fast foods.
